Annette has a specialist interest in maternal and infant mental health. As a public health nurse and qualified cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, she has extensive experience working with mothers during pregnancy and following birth. Mental health during pregnancy and postnatally can be a difficult period for many mums, with as many as one in four experiencing depression and anxiety. Reaching out for support can be difficult but it is the start of the healing journey, allowing you to start to recover and enjoy this time.
Annette’s experience working with mums and babies combined with her gentle and compassionate approach can support you to develop skills to manage your challenges and guide you to a happier place. Annette practises CBT which is an evidence -based approach and is considered the best therapy during pregnancy and postnatally. We also support parents during fertility journeys and during times when the birthing experience does not happen as you anticipated.
